02 / Why a specialist

Specialist, not generalist.
That's the whole point.

Generalists juggle water heaters, gas lines, remodels, and a hundred other jobs — across a hundred different specialties. We do drains and the light plumbing that comes with them, every day, all day. Deeper at what we do, posted prices either way.

03 / When the jetter comes out

The jet is the specialty.
Here's when it earns its keep.

Hydro jetting is what we're known for, but it's not the right tool for every call. Here's the path from your first call to a clear line — when the snake handles it, when the jetter takes over, and where the camera scope fits in. Light plumbing is its own track and doesn't run this process.

  1. 01

    Phone triage

Tell us what's happening. We ask the right questions to know if this is a snake job, a jet job, or a light-plumbing call before we dispatch.

  2. 02

    Snake when it fits

Bathroom sinks and single toilets snake fast and cheap — $95/hr. That's a real category of work, not a gateway pitch to jetting.

  3. 03

    Jet when it doesn't

Main lines, storm drains, cast iron, grease, recurring clogs — that's what 3,500 PSI was built for. $300/hr. The specialty.

  4. 04

    Snake → jet, disclosed

Sometimes a snake job exposes something only the jetter can clear. We tell you at the door first and switch with a written estimate. No surprise jump from $95 to $300.

  5. 05

    Camera included

Every jet or descale job includes a camera scope — before and after. You see what we saw. You keep the video. Standalone scopes (no jetting) are $250.

Snake $95/hr · Jet $300/hr · Camera included with jetting → One number for all three · Written estimate before any of them runs

04 / Problems we clear (& fix)

Drains gone wrong.
Plumbing gone wrong.

Every clog has a cause and every drip has a fix. Figuring out which one you've got is step one — picking the wrong tool wastes your money.

Hydro jet

Grease

Kitchen drains and commercial lines. Cools, coats the pipe walls, traps everything else. A cable pokes a hole through it; a jetter scours it off.

Cast iron descaling

Scale

Cast iron mains from the pre-1975 era. Corrosion narrows the bore 40% before anyone notices. Chain knocker mechanically breaks it loose; jetter flushes it out.

Hydro jet

Roots

Clay, PVC, and old cast iron mains. Tree roots find joints, grow through, and keep coming back. Root-cutter nozzle on the jetter clears it — repeat visits common.

Drain cleaning

Foreign objects

Wipes (including "flushable"), paper wads, toys, a kid's toothbrush. Cable is usually the right call here. Sometimes a scope-and-retrieve.

Hydro jet + scope

Recurring clogs

Same line clogs every 12–18 months. Usually means the real problem is further down — a main-line issue, not the fixture drain itself. Jetter + camera tells us why.

Camera scope

Pre-sale inspections

Buying an older Omaha home? A standalone scope ($250 flat) gives you a recorded video + written summary — enough to negotiate repairs or walk away.

Light plumbing

Leaks & drips

Faucets that won't stop dripping, shut-off valves seeping under the sink, leaking supply lines behind the toilet, a slow drip at a pipe joint. If you can see it, we can usually fix it. Out of scope: in-wall lines.

Light plumbing

Faucet, disposal & dishwasher

Faucet swaps, garbage disposal install / replace, dishwasher hookup, running toilet — the small plumbing jobs that come up around drain calls. $95/hr.

Don't know which one you have? Tell us on the phone or send a photo. We'll tell you which tool the job needs (snake, jet, descale, scope, or a wrench) and give you a written estimate before we come out.

08 / Quick answers

Common questions.

01 Why two different rates — $95/hr and $300/hr?

Because the tool the job needs is different. The $95/hr rate covers drain snake work (bathroom sinks, single toilets) plus all light plumbing — faucets, toilets, disposals, dishwashers, leaks. Everything else — main line, storm drain, cast iron, commercial grease, tub / shower / kitchen drains — is on the $300/hr hydro-jet rate. If a snake job exposes something that actually needs the jetter, we tell you at the door first.

02 Is the camera scope included?

Yes — every hydro jet or descale job includes a before + after camera scope at no additional charge. You see what we saw going in, and proof the line runs clear when we're done, with the video emailed same day. Standalone scope (no jetting) is $250 flat — pre-sale inspections, mystery odors, lost items.

03 What does "specialist" actually mean?

We focus on drains and the light plumbing that comes with them. Five services: hydro jetting, cast iron descaling, camera scoping, drain cleaning, and light plumbing (faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwasher installs, leaks, shut-offs, spigots). We don't install water heaters, run gas lines, do bathroom remodels, or any work that requires a Master Plumber license. For those, we refer to a licensed Master Plumber we trust.

04 Why publish pricing when no one else does?

Because the number-one complaint about our trade is surprise billing. Two posted rates — $95/hr for drain clearing and light plumbing, $300/hr for hydro jetting on main lines and bigger work — means you can sanity-check the estimate before we start. We lose some jobs by being this transparent. The ones we win, we keep.

05 Will you just try to upsell me on descaling?

No. If the camera shows scale, we'll show you and explain the options. If it doesn't, we jet, invoice, leave. Our reputation lives on repeat property-management business, not one-time panic buys.

06 Do you handle emergencies?

Yes — 24/7 by phone. Weekend and overnight calls carry a service-call premium, stated up front. We won't run a jetter at 2 AM unless we've confirmed the pipe can take it. See our 24/7 emergency page for response times and what we handle after hours.

07 Why aren't you a "full-service plumber"?

Because focused beats spread thin. We do plumbing — faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwasher installs, leaks, shut-offs — plus the drain and jetting work that's our specialty. We don't do water heaters, gas lines, repipes, or bathroom remodels. One crew that's done thousands of drain calls and the light plumbing around them beats a generalist also juggling remodel bids.
