Twenty years ago, Gretna was a small town with a few hundred families. Today it’s one of the fastest-growing communities in the metro, with new subdivisions east of Highway 6 and major commercial development around the outlets. Two things follow from that growth:
- Mostly PVC mains — the residential drain story in Gretna is roots and grease, not scale. Cast iron is rare and concentrated in the original townsite around Angus Street and Highway 31.
